My pleasure! the more of us on the path the easier it feels to me:) I should mention it's also a great site just for reference. The articles seem well researched.

Tongue scraping -

I was advised that being really dedicated to tongue scraping in the morning is a good tool of fighting sugar cravings - anyone have any experiences with this?

great to hear that helps with cravings.. makes sense since it stimulates and cleanses our taste buds, etc. Cool.

Sugar Free?

Yes! Our family has done it - with a little cheating. I found it totally essential to my healing from Lyme's Disease to go sugar free. I didn't eat anything sugary - not even fruit, carrots, etc for a couple years. Now we do eat fruit, and we're all much healthier and steady because of it!

Please let us know you questions and challenges here.

It's a very close, personal decision to be conscious of what you eat, but as the saying goes "You are what you eat" - is so true! This amazing body takes air, sunlight, water and food and creates and sustains itself.

And it's not just your body, it's your mind. Your mind becomes more reactive when it eats rajasic foods which include sugar. Rajasic foods are irritating, stimulating, reactive because they are acidic in nature.

More to come,

I too had to stop eating any sugar for years. I had Candida in several forms at a level that was so severe I lost all quality of life. Not eating sugar was one of the key factors to my healing. Also making sure my supplements are a pharmaceutical grade so that I am not putting yeast of fungus back in. With a lot of help I am completely better now, and I can eat anything healthy and organic. I even got back to a place where I can have a little normalcy, or what is normal to me. Sharing fruit popsicles or ice cream while babysitting kids, making organic honey sticks from honey we harvest at a farm I'm involved with...just those few joyous occasions seem ok to me. I balance it with lots of asparagus or whatever greens are growing in my garden, and maybe an extra nap on the BioMat. This sort of balance feels right to me I guess, because denying myself too much make me angry. Hangry Haripriya is not such a priya.
