- Monday Mantra ClassSatnaam dear all, I wanted to make clearer to myself which mantras / shabads I already taught on, how many times, since I began to teach for K&K, so it can be helpful to me in the future for the next ones. I created a file. It took me some time, and I was thinking maybe that is also useful to you when you look for a class, or the meaning of one mantra, or you don't know what to look for... just to navigate better in the library. So I thought to share the file with you here. I hope that helps ! I know the forum is less and less explored, so don't hesitate to give me a feedback if that is something that supports your practice. Thank you to @Snatam Kaur Khalsa and @Sopurkh Khalsa for their trust and support on this path, where I've been learning sooo much ! I was actually amazed and rejoicing in this long list of exploration, inner nourishment and inspiration. So much shared and created together ! So here it is. Enjoy ! (There could be mistakes / oversight as there are so many, but hopefully not...) - Mataji's Favorite Shabadsasthai - ਅਸਥਾਈ - In Keertan, we find one line keeps getting repeated time and again. This common line, which is repeated each time after a different line, is known as asthai in Indian classical music, or Chorus in the western music. antra - ਅੰਤਰ - In Keertan, or any music, after singing the asthai, the repetitive line, a different line is sung and upon its completion the asthai is sung again and then a second different line is sung, followed by asthai. This changing line is known as antra in Indian classical music.Like
