Hello every body. My name is Mikkel and i'm from Denmark.
I'm new here and would like to have some advice in, wich kind of courses that will suite me the most. I already play a lot of music and I know about 6 Kundalini mantras on harmonium I think. I would like to know a lot more about gurhmuki and have some groundknowledge about the mantras as well.
I teach men in Kundalini Yoga and I already play a little in a mantra band. I'm very eager to dive deeper into the mantras.
I hope somebody can help me. :-)
I'm really looking forward for an answer.
Hi Mikkel,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
That's wonderful that you're so interested in mantra music and that you are already playing music on your own. We have a few core courses that you can look into, that you may enjoy taking. One course is our beginner harmonium course. It's 13 weeks long and deeply dives into three mantras, their musical notation, rhythm, and history. I know you said that you already have musical experience and have learned several mantras, but this course is a foundational course that gives you important skills and information for learning mantra within our school. Beginner harmonium also prepares you for our intermediate courses and other kirtan courses that will be coming soon. Here is a link for the Beginner Harmonium course: https://www.kirtanandkundalini.com/service-page/beginner-harmonium-2024-a?category=c46b624e-26d5-4458-9e84-7164c97d7bc2&referral=service_list_widget
For Gurmukhi studies, we have a separate course that is only for learning Gurmukhi. It's an 8-week intensive course that will have you comfortably reading Gurmukhi by the end of the course. Here is the link for this course: https://www.kirtanandkundalini.com/service-page/beginner-gurmukhi-2024-a?category=02fb6e86-7773-44f3-811d-d1b780c73e9c&referral=service_list_widget
We do go over pronunciation and meaning of the mantras in the Beginner Harmonium course, but the Gurmukhi course gives you a very strong foundation in the Gurmukhi script.
