Intermediate Harmonium 1 (2025-A)

Service Description

PLEASE NOTE: This course is only for previous students of our Beginner Harmonium courses. Please do not sign up if you haven't completed a BH course. Intermediate Harmonium 1 is a course that it is designed to guide you into a deeper study with music, playing, and chanting. We will lead you through the foundational material, however, at the intermediate level, you will be asked to guide, lead, and demonstrate much of the learning!  We will meet for 13 weekly livestream sessions beginning on September 27th and ending on December 20th. Classes will be taught on Saturdays at 8am ET for 1.5 hours with an additional mid-week instructional/practice class. The date and time of our mid-week class will be determined together, in class. This course is for individuals who have completed the Beginner Harmonium Course through Kirtan and Kundalini, and who are ready to go deeper with their playing and practice.   We will be teaching 3 new mantras: So-i Sunandarhee, Rakhay Rakhanahar, and Ra Ma Da Sa. You may have heard these mantras sung by Snatam throughout your life, and have wanted to learn them. So-i Sunandarhee - This Shabad opens the space for connection with the Divine. Rakhay Rakhanahaar - This chant brings the energy of protection within from adverse energies. Raa Maa Daa Saa - This chant gives us the opportunity to find healing within and through our connection with others to send prayers of healing out into the universe. Shabad Guru is a great teacher to lead us to our inner wisdom, specific to each of us.
