Thanks, I ordered the book from the Vedanta bookstore to be sure I was getting the right one but I would also like the kindle so it is good to know that Amazon is a good source. I actually studied Vedanta in India at ananda spa in the himalayas outside of Delhi where my son and I went for two summers when I turned 65 some 18 years ago. The vedanta group in Delhi actually hosted us with a reception in Delhi before we left. I will tell you all about it when we have a conversation. For now I am going to re—engage myself with the teachings and see where the path takes me. Thanks for responding. Blessings and peace, linda
Oh WOW! Linda you are a treasure box. I would love to know anything and everything about it. That is amazing. I'm sure you ordered the right one, and if need be I can always send you anything else if you can't find it. That is really touching to know. Mataji would love to know you studied it too, as her and Sat Santokh are big big fans of Sri Ramakrishna and of course Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. I know that they would have like Sikhism if they had learned about it. Essentially cultures keep trying to unite and say we are one! and then it gets turned into an identity and dualism commences. I am grateful you are in class @lwesson1 All of our wisdom collectively helps the group leap forward. xo!
Thanks for your sweet comments. Let’s see if we can arrange a time for a phone conversation; my son and I got turned off when we met with the group in Delhi as we saw they were still holding on to the class system. But as I seek a group I can integrate with, the kundalini yoga group works well.

just a comment and request; first, i have very much resonated with you and your ideas in our tuesday shabad class and secondly, i am connected with vadanta and would like to discuss that with you, but for now i would like to order the meditation book and as i looked into it, i wasn't sure which one to order so could you tell me which one i should get and how it is available. blessings and peace, your sister you didn't know you had, linda-
The Daily Thoughts and Prayers book by Swami Paramananda is available on Amazon or I can mail you a copy. Vedanta is a philosophy that every path, if done properly, reaches the mountain top that we are trying to climb. It came fro Sri Ramakrishna in East India which is now Bangladesh. It’s remarkably similar to Sikhism. It’s more focused on the stuff we have been doing lately, just finding joy. Srimata Gayatri Devi, Swami Paramananda’s choice to follow him said as she was leaving her body “I will know my devotees by their joy.” Her book is One Life’s Pilgrimage, which is another treasure.
I included what I read during that one class one solstice, which ironically is his liberation day ( the day one’s body is layer down and the spirit is liberated). I hope this is of assistance to you. Www.vedanta center.orgSaraswati has been there too! @saraswati prayers from all directions today
we did two shabads on Sunday. The Joy Happiness one is short, but since it has my Swamije's name in it (Paramanand) I requested it. It is supremely blissful, I can't wait. It makes me so excited I get butterflies in my stomach and my toes curl up :D
