Wow, I don’t know about you, but October seems to have come in with a whisper and out with a roar! Fitting for the 10 and it’s “All or Nothing” tendency... but now we come to November, the 11th month of the calendar year. Those of you who are familiar with the system of the 10 Light Bodies, and even those who aren’t, might be wondering “is there an 11th Body?”. The short answer is no; however, 11 is VERY significant in that it represents ALL 10 Bodies combined in their elevated forms; or the spiritually realized Self. Symbolically, 11 is made up of two 1s, and 1s are bold, daring, pioneering, original, fearless, individuals who set out to explore their true potential, and when one combines with THE One, the Infinite, magic can happen.
11 represents humanity's greatest potential and it’s highest states of consciousness. Imagine light-workers you know from the past or present who have come into this world purely to share the wisdom they have collected for lifetimes; they do so without hesitation and to all beings, everywhere. These beings most likely have an 11 in their charts. 11 also represents the idealism inherent, yet sometimes buried by trauma, in all beings. That ability in us to see each other as we truly are, and allow all barriers, all divides, to crumble away; revealing our infinite selves and the unity we share.
That all sounds really great, right? Of course it does! But let’s not forget, even this energy will have a polarity - it’s opposite, by which it is compared and contrasted. Well, this will also be a time where, in our effort to see an idealized world, we miss seeing the real struggle of real everyday people, who are often not having their basic human needs met, and so how could they possibly listen to those who speak of utopian societies and tapping into one’s greatest spiritual potential when they still don’t know how they’re going to keep a roof over their heads or put food on their tables? When we lack this understanding, we lose the integrity in our quest to spread light, and integrity is paramount to 11; without it, spirituality can quickly become egotism and manipulation.
The exalted 11, or in it’s greatest form, represents all of the wisdom of the Universe, available to all. Tapping into that wisdom takes time, and focus, but it also takes surrender. Sometimes we seek when all we need to do is sit and receive.
We just so happen to have recently hit the half-way mark on our 40 Day Meditation practice, Wisdom Flow, which uses a very receptive mudra, or hand position, known as “beggar’s bowl” and a beautiful mantra to open ourselves and increase our sensitivity to the universal flow of wisdom through us. You can still jump in now (it's free!), and just start your 40 days whenever, using the resources on our site to help you stay connected and motivated!
The number 1 represents the Soul, as well as the Root Chakra; so it would stand to reason that with two 1’s, 11 will require a strong tether to the earth and healthy grounding habits in order to be relatable, understood, and effective. Everyone’s grounding habits are different, but we all have them even if we don’t realize it. Walks in nature, french fries, and being immersed in water do it for me. When it comes to Kundalini, a practice know as Apana Kriya (Elimination Exercises) is great for working on the energy of the Root chakra, keeping your digestion healthy as the weather continues to transition, as do our bodies. Sopurkh will be teaching this kriya during this upcoming week's Tuesday Kundalini Yoga & Meditation class, November 10 @ 4pm EST.
May all beings receive the love they need to thrive and expand in the Age of Aquarius.
